Annual Pilates Gathering and Opening of Joseph Pilates Square

There are gatherings that are more than dates. They are destinations.

Every two years, we return to our origin to celebrate what binds us: the living legacy of Joseph and Clara Pilates.

Pilates Heritage was born to preserve the essence—authentic practice, the study of origins, the faithful transmission of principles—while opening a path to the futur e through education and innovation in Pilates.

Beginning today, we mark a historic moment:

the city of Mönchengladbach, Joseph’s birthplace, will inaugurate the square surrounding his childhood home as ‘Joseph Pilates Platz.’ A place to return—and above all, to give thanks.

We are guardians—and above all, students. Here, we celebrate masters who devote their lives to keeping the flame alive. Here, the legacy breathes.

And for the first time, with an organization led by the VOLL Pilates Group—active for over 15 years in Brazil and with more than 130,000 professionals trained in Pilates.

With great enthusiasm, I say:

O Pilates Heritage nasceu para preservar a essência — a prática autêntica, o estudo das origens, a transmissão fiel dos princípios — e, ao mesmo tempo, abrir caminho para o futuro por meio da educação e da inovação no Pilates.

A partir de hoje, marcamos um momento histórico: a cidade de Mönchengladbach, berço de Joseph, vai inaugurar a praça ao redor de sua casa de infância como “Joseph Pilates Platz”. Um lugar para voltar — e, acima de tudo, para agradecer.

Somos guardiões — e, acima de tudo, estudantes. Aqui, celebramos mestres que dedicam a vida a manter essa chama acesa. Aqui, o legado respira.

E, pela primeira vez, com uma organização liderada pelo Grupo VOLL Pilates — atuante há mais de 15 anos no Brasil e com mais de 130.000 profissionais formados em Pilates. Com grande entusiasmo, eu digo: bem-vindos a Mönchengladbach. Bem-vindos ao Pilates Heritage Congress 2026.
